This policy explains what personal information Chain Compounds LLC (“we”, “us”) collects through chaincompounds.com, why, who we share it with and what choices you have. We collect as little as we can to run the store.
What we collect

We don’t ask for your phone number, date of birth or any government ID. We don’t collect information about your research or how you use our products.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies to run the cart, checkout, your account, the age check and your cookie choice. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t use tracking pixels. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share only what each of these services needs to do its job for us:
- Website hosting [HOST NAME AND LOCATION, e.g. Cloudways / DigitalOcean, USA]: stores the site and its order database.
- Crypto payment processing [BTCPay Server host, CONFIRM IN STEP 8]: creates your payment invoice and confirms payment. Payments are made on public blockchains, where transaction details are visible to anyone.
- Email delivery [EMAIL SERVICE NAME]: sends order and shipping emails.
- Shipping: Pirate Ship and USPS receive your name and shipping address to print the label and deliver your package.
- Legal and safety: we may share information when the law requires it, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records (your name, email, addresses, items, prices and payment details): 7 years, because tax law requires us to keep them. [ACCOUNTANT: confirm period.]
- IP address and browser type on orders: 90 days, then deleted.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete yours.
- Messages to support: as long as needed to answer you, then deleted within [12] months.
- Marketing choice: until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@chaincompounds.com from the address you used.
- Ask us to delete your account. We delete the account and your marketing data. We keep the order and payment records described above for 7 years, because tax law requires it, and use them only for that purpose.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them, or by emailing us. Order and shipping emails still go out because they’re about your order.
- Change your cookie choice any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Security
The site uses HTTPS. Admin access uses strong passwords and two-factor authentication. Only we can see order information. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect only what we need.
Age
This site is for people 21 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be shown on this page before they take effect.
